Plays most Vita games
PlayStation TV has an affordable starting price point
Works with existing DualShock 3 and 4 controllers and can play hundreds of games. It also offers game streaming from a networked PS4 or via PlayStation Now
And a handful of video services
Remote Play works well with the PlayStation 4
Compact and sleek design
Inexpensive. Very good backward compatibility with PlayStation Portable and PSOne Classics. Works with DualShock 3 and 4.
Cute
Sleek design
Inexpensive
Great way to play the games it supports
The cheapest
Most portable way to remotely play your PS4 on another TV
Plays PS1 and Vita games using a full-sized DualShock controller
Reasonably priced
The editors didn't like
Nonexistent support outside of Japan. Can only access Japanese PS Store. Won't let you access your North American PS Store purchases or PS Plus membership
1080i max resolutio
Barely any video channel
Physical design feels crampe
Cumbersome media server streamin
Inefficient touch-screen workarounds
A surprising amount of content for PSTV is not available in HD
And the Vita's interface doesn't make a graceful jump to the big screen. Remote play is laggy in Wi-Fi mode and PSTV still relies on an expensive flash storage medium. Major streaming service
Lacks some muchneeded content
No support for other streaming apps
Bottom Line
If you're a very specific type of retro gamer
The Sony PlayStation TV is the ideal microconsole for you
The PlayStation TV is a great little addition to the PlayStation 4 but unfortunately is hurt by the lack of 1080p or Dolby Digital 5.1, not to mention lag...
PlayStation TV is a palm-sized set-top box that doesn't include built-in digital tuners for watching live television.Sony's tiny set-top box aims to deliver much of what's missing from the PlayStation 4, but falls short. The PlayStation 4 might be designed...

The PlayStation TV sounds great on paper, but out of the gate, it underwhelms as both a gaming and an entertainment box....
Equal functionality and price as existing streaming set top boxes, Worldclass gaming pedigree, Cheapest game console on the market
Proprietary and expensive memory cards, Unknown internals and partnerships, Game streaming unwise over slow internet connections
In all, Sony looks to be delivering an extremely compelling product in PlayStation TV. Achieving parity with it's streaming competitors should not be a challenge, and it has them far outclassed when it comes to gaming. In addition, it could be attractive...
Sony PlayStation TV ReviewAs we only have one main (large) television I decided to purchase the PSTV as my son could then play on his PS4 remotely while my wife and I could still watch the television in the living room without being relegated to the kitch...

Absolutely tiny, PS4 streaming works well, Decent range of old games available
Not enough streaming services, Too laggy for online multiplayer, Vita games not fully optimised
PlayStation TV verdict Open Gallery Playstation TV's USP is second-screen gaming and on that front there really is nothing else out there like it. If your main TV is regularly contested territory and you have a sturdy network this is a much easi...

It's a strange one as, in all honesty, probably not, but we know we're going to continue using the hell out of ours, so how's that for hypocrisy? There's a rational response to a high cost for a level of functionality that you can get for better value els...
