The editors liked
Inexpensive for imported electronics. Amazingly small. Can play some card-based North American games like Persona 4 Golden.
Plays most Vita games
PlayStation TV has an affordable starting price point
Works with existing DualShock 3 and 4 controllers and can play hundreds of games. It also offers game streaming from a networked PS4 or via PlayStation Now
And a handful of video services
Remote Play works well with the PlayStation 4
Compact and sleek design
Inexpensive. Very good backward compatibility with PlayStation Portable and PSOne Classics. Works with DualShock 3 and 4.
Cute
Sleek design
Inexpensive
Great way to play the games it supports
The cheapest
Most portable way to remotely play your PS4 on another TV
Plays PS1 and Vita games using a full-sized DualShock controller
Reasonably priced
The editors didn't like
Nonexistent support outside of Japan. Can only access Japanese PS Store. Won't let you access your North American PS Store purchases or PS Plus membership
1080i max resolutio
Barely any video channel
Physical design feels crampe
Cumbersome media server streamin
Inefficient touch-screen workarounds
A surprising amount of content for PSTV is not available in HD
And the Vita's interface doesn't make a graceful jump to the big screen. Remote play is laggy in Wi-Fi mode and PSTV still relies on an expensive flash storage medium. Major streaming service
Lacks some muchneeded content
No support for other streaming apps
Bottom Line
If you're a very specific type of retro gamer
The Sony PlayStation TV is the ideal microconsole for you
A capable micro-console that ticks all the right boxes. While not every game is compatible with it, the Vita library looks fantastic on the big screen and is more than worth your investment...

Abstract: "What do you want the PlayStation TV to do for you?" That's an important question when considering purchasing Sony's new microconsole. A more important question might be "Do you know what the PlayStation TV is?" I ask because over the course of the past ...
Abstract: Today on Gaming With Killatia we take a look at Sony's Playstation TV! No not that failed $500 3D TV but the micro console version of the Playstation Vita.Edit: Here's the current list of games compatible with the Playstation TV...

The PlayStation isnt exactly broken, but it is compromised, semi-functional and in dire need of more content. I can't think of a single reason why I need a PlayStation TV ($100), and honestly, I can't think of a single reason why you would need...
Abstract: The Sony PlayStation TV came with a lot of promise and one I was will and waiting to see. The promises of extending your PlayStation 4 game play to a different from or even the ability to stream and play games of PlayStation now on a small setup style box...

Abstract: The problem is, you're up and running on a lousy interface. The PlayStation TV's home screen is basically the same one you'll see on the Vita, which makes no sense on a larger screen. It makes poor use of the space, and icons aren't laid out in a logical...

Abstract: Last week I posted my initial impressions after spending a solid 24 hours fiddling around with the PlayStation TV and its various settings. My initial impressions were pretty positive. However, as I soon learned, my impressions were vastly different from...
