  • Entertaining RPG/puzzle game hybrid. Two games in one. Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition feels snappy and fresh.
  • The core puzzle game is tremendously fun

  • No additional ingame purchases required

The editors didn't like

  • Uninspired artwork. Puzzle & Dragons Z feels sluggish and generic. Occasionally unbalanced difficulty
  • Grinding for material drops is a lot more tedious than in the mobile game
  • Good chunks of both games are easy and dull
  • Lacks the fun surprises of the mobile version
