Quite difficult
Even on the easiest difficult level. Can only unlock StreetPass challenges with play coins. Getting hit by enemies makes you lose health and decreases your score. Only a handful of different enemies. The later levels and areas can’t compare to the prettiness and variety of the first level.
Abstract: It has been nearly 10 years since we were last put into the sandals of an Oboro Clan shinobi, the last game of which was well received despite (or perhaps because of) its high difficulty. Though it brought the series into the third dimension, its gam...
Abstract: Shinobi for the 3DS marks a return to form for SEGA’s franchise ninja series. It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen a Shinobi title of any kind, the last being the combo of Shinobi and Nightshade on the PS2. Since then the only ninja that’s been rul...

Abstract: Shinobi is hard. As in "you have only five tries to beat this 20-minute level packed with enemies and tricky platforming challenges" hard. Yet as challenging as this action platformer is, it remains approachable despite its formidable challenge. That'...
Abstract: Produced by Griptonite Games and released by the good ol’ development team at Sega, Shinobi delivers exactly what it needs to on the 3DS – plenty of teeth-grinding, difficult action coupled with gorgeous 3D visuals. The plot is nothing new – Joe Mus...

Shinobi for the 3DS represents a valiant effort to bring back this cult hit from SEGA’s past. The variety of moves, high difficulty level and abundance of secrets make for an enjoyable experience that harkens back to the original in many ways. What bri...
Abstract: The ninja fad may have waned a bit since its peak a couple decades ago, but most of us who grew up during that era, donning martial arts outfits on Halloween and playing with toy katanas instead of toy guns, will remember the impact the this craze had ...
