The editors didn't like
The video memory at 3GB limits the GTX 1060 to 1920×1080 resolution
PrecisionX OC refused to launch for us after activation. We probably left overclocking performance on the table by setting our overclock manually by being unable to use the advanced overclocking features it offers

Story pitters out in the worst type of non-ending
Main story lacks meaningful NPCs and character development
Shooting mechanics are adequate for stealth
But still feel inadequate in action-heavy scenarios
Some animation issues
Complex plot can be hard to latch onto
Augmentation overclocking system is disappointingly lenient
The hacking mechanic gets a little repetitive after completing the same process over and over

Abstract: Since its debut 16 years ago, Deus Ex's primary weapon has been choice: where to go, how to get there, who to speak to and how to speak to them are all up to you in a series where almost every scenario has multiple outcomes. After releasing 2011's Human R...
Abstract: Adam Jensen - my own, custom-upgraded version of Adam Jensen, at least - is a man who can launch exploding katanas from his wrists, sweat bulletproof gel and disarm laser tripwires with a Jedi Masterly wave of the hand. In the course of 35 hours of play a...
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is still a Deus Ex game through and through, even if it doesn't always manage to hit the same highs as its predecessor. But for all its faults, its numerous other triumphs made it utterly compelling to play through until the end.D...
Solid Gameplay Mechanics, Great Stealth Game, Missions with subtle choices and consequences, State of the art graphics, Impressive level design
Convoluted Story, Story feels lacking in the end, No big "Deus Ex" style choice to consequence
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided improves on its predecessor in every possible way. The game's tech is state of the art and cutting edge, but the story doesn't do justice to it. Those looking for an intense single player experience should pick this game up.

Despite all that, I'm enjoying it. Usually these sorts of nail-my-hands-to-the-mouse-and-WASD review periods are a slog, sitting at a desk ten or more hours a day trying frantically to beat an embargo. But Deus Ex? I'm having a hell of a good time, and I...
