The editors didn't like

  • The video memory at 3GB limits the GTX 1060 to 1920×1080 resolution
  • PrecisionX OC refused to launch for us after activation. We probably left overclocking performance on the table by setting our overclock manually by being unable to use the advanced overclocking features it offers
  • Level design getting a bit too recognizable
  • Lip-sync issues
  • And a few other performance hitches
  • Story pitters out in the worst type of non-ending
  • Main story lacks meaningful NPCs and character development
  • Shooting mechanics are adequate for stealth
  • But still feel inadequate in action-heavy scenarios
  • Some animation issues
  • Complex plot can be hard to latch onto
  • Augmentation overclocking system is disappointingly lenient
  • The hacking mechanic gets a little repetitive after completing the same process over and over
  • Unambitious storyline and lackluster characters
  • Abrupt ending with too many loose ends
  • Not a huge
  • Simulated open world
  • Abrupt ending
  • Slightly disappointing performance
  • Voice acting is a little wonky at times
  • 85A few technical hitches
  • Story isn't as compelling and feels short
  • Bugs can ruin your stealth run
  • Havok issues can break immersion

  • Unlike the RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooled edition which fell quite short of its performance target of the GTX 1080 Ti and barely matched the GTX 1080, the RX Vega 56 is faster than the GTX 1070 FE. Using performance as our primary metric, at $399, the RX Vega 5...

  • Abstract:  Last Monday, AMD released its new Vega 64 processor in a vain attempt to beat the GTX 1080 and to take the performance crown from NVIDIA's GTX 1080 Ti. Since the reference version throttles performance due to inadequate cooling, BTR purchased a Gigabyte R...

  • A Criminal Past puts Adam in jail for a great self-contained storyline pushing a solid narrative and a far greater emphasis on stealth in the final DLC for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. While the voice acting can be a bit of a mixed bag, there's no doubt that...

  • Abstract:  It's been about six months since BTR compared the RX 480 versus the GTX 1060 and versus the 290X. It will be interesting to see if there have been any major performance changes since then. Has AMD neglected Hawaii in favor of Polaris, and what about Pasca...

  • Deus Ex's DirectX 12 update can sadly be called nothing short of a disappointment, with the new API delivering less performance on Nvidia GPUs and lower average framerates on AMD hardware. Yes, AMD's minimum framerates do increase slightly, but these perf...
