The editors liked
Slow-motion shooting just as enthralling as the original Superhot demo
Gets in and gets out before the gimmick gets too stale
Mesmerizing
Addictive action
Unique mechanics
Creative presentation
Perhaps one of the coolest gameplay mechanics for a first person shooter that I've experienced in a long time combined with one of the most surprisingly awesome storymode campaigns I've had the pleasure of completing in at least as long.
Superhot has a brilliant visual aesthetic which combines perfectly with the core gameplay feature
Which is used to brilliant effect both in game and after
When creating some of the best footage you're likely to find from a game
Excellent gameplay twist
Deviously dark narrative
Packed with curious oddities
Fantastic concept and execution
Neat little story
Original and refreshing
Unique
Exciting
Stylish
Top-notch style and presentation
Excellent use of a unique time mechanic
The editors didn't like
Hitboxing can feel off at times
Needs a bit more to flesh out its two hour run
Very short campaign
Simple
Unimpressive visuals
It is very addicting. I could complain that the story mode is too short
But really it is just as long as it needed to be
I'm just greedy for more
The story behind Superhot is interesting
Though at times it takes away by forcing you into events that actively stall the game
ENTRANCING - It's like magic, guys. Time disappears when this game and I are together, and I never want it to end. I'm not sure if this is a love that will last forever, but if it is, you'll get no complaints from me. How we score: The Destructoid Revie...
SUPERHOT manages to differentiate itself from other FPS games by using slow motion in an innovative way. The game-within-a-game premise gives SUPERHOT depth that many FPS games lack, and it gives players a deep level of immersion. SUPERHOT is one of the m...

Abstract: There are two things I love about SUPERHOT. The first is that I can take a toilet break in the middle of a bullet-strewn firefight without having to pause the game. The second is that it consistently makes me look like a badass John Wick-esque combatant...
SUPERHOT isn't a game that I'd qualify as a shooter, per se. While it is played from a first-person perspective, and it does involve plenty of shooting, it's much more akin to a puzzle game than an FPS...

Simpleyetbrilliant take on the shooter, Interesting, subversive story, Loads of extra modes outside of campaign
Story is over just as it starts to get really good, Xbox One version isn't 100% identical to PC version
A puzzle game dressed like a twisted, Cronenberg-inspired shooter, Superhot's methodical, slow-motion approach to the genre is as cerebral and deliberate as it is unhinged...
Very short campaign, Can feel pre-scripted or trial and error
Superhot could well turn out to be the year's most ingenious and influential shooter, transforming each taut action scene into both puzzle and wish-fulfilment spectacle. It's short and can feel proscriptive, with trial and error woven into its DNA, but it...
