The editors liked

  • TDP and power draw is almost unbelievable at 150W for such a high-performance GPU
  • Using only one 8-pin PCIe cable
  • In contrast the Fury X requires two 8-pin cables
  • Overclockability is very good so far – GPU Boost 3.0 works with the Precision X overcloc
  • Horde gameplay is the most mobile Total War's ever been
  • Rectifies some of the UI problems with Rome II
  • Beautiful
  • Wellscaled world map
  • Nomadic and migratory horde factions bring speed and unpredictability
  • Battle simulation system is finely tuned
  • And adds a few bells and whistles

The editors didn't like

  • Game still takes way too long to calculate AI turns
  • Pathfinding can be utterly broken on both campaign and battle maps
  • Cluttered interface and specificity of minute statistics are distracting
  • A number of glitches
  • Performance issues
  • And other behaviors that sully the strategizing

  • Abstract:  From the opening cinematic it becomes abundantly clear that Total War: Attila is going to pull out all the stops to put forth the very best production Creative Assembly are able. Though that opening cinematic does detail the base shell of its former glory...

  • Abstract:  There are few names when it comes to war that is as recognizable as Attila. Some may ask “Attila The Hun?” but that is the almost silly response since few people have ever heard of an Attila other than the conquering horseman. For the Total War series it...

  • Long time Total War fans will be interested in the uniquely new features. Hordes, family trees, tech trees, and combat all have enough tweaks to not be the ‘same old' experience. Different difficulties will welcome a player of any experience to the series
