The editors liked

  • New tracks
  • Maniac mode.
  • World Tour modes makes unlocking cars lots of fun
  • The game shines graphically and with a hot soundtrack. Signature shortcuts are infinitely better than signature takedowns.

The editors didn't like

  • Missing Crash mode
  • Backwards evolution for the series
  • No online multiplayer.
  • No Crash or Traffic Attack mode? No online play? Drift Challenge drifts toward mediocrity. It just feels like the next set of real innovations is a console generation away from this game.

  • Abstract:  Have you ever been stuck in traffic and felt the urge to drive in between cars or smash up those whose purpose it is to obstruct your drive? Have you ever just wanted to drive on the other side of the road or drift like they do in those fast-car movies? I...

  • Abstract:  For many, many years, the market-defining mantra of leading third-party gaming publisher Electronic Arts has seemingly been if it aint broke, dont fix it. Indeed, one need only look toward the history connected to the likes of Madden, FIFA, and Med...

  • Abstract:  I think my interest in racing games vanished shortly around age 16 when people I knew started to drive real cars. For those who still love to go ’round and ’round, I give you Burnout Dominator for the PS2. The game’s sound and visuals a...

  • This is a good, not great battle racing game that is weighed down by its own expectations. The fact that these games have been done better wouldnt be such a negative point if hadnt been done better by the same people. Its an enjoyable ride but fans ...

  • Abstract:  From the early days of the original Acclaim published titles, until the later releases such as Burnout Revenge, gamers just cant seem to get enough of the Burnout series. Lets face it, the game provides everything anyone who wishes to go full bore co...

  • Abstract:  Destined to dominate the PS2 racing market for the next several months (if not the entire year), Burnout Dominator is a fascinating, uber-exhilarating racer with more nitro under its hood than The Fast & The Furious movie trilogy. You’ll cringe, gas...

  • Burnout Dominator seems to fall short of expectations, though that isn’t saying it is a bad game. The Burnout series has been setting a high standard for itself for so long, that Dominator just doesn’t seem to live up to the others. Burnout Do...

  • New tracks, Maniac mode.
  • Missing Crash mode, backwards evolution for the series, no online multiplayer.
  • Burnout 3: Takedown marked a turning point for the Burnout series. Shifting from a focus on just driving very fast and very dangerously to include a spotlight on sheer destruction, Takedown brought the long-simmering series to an awesome boil. On both ...

  • Abstract:  The genius of being able to crash, swipe and rear-end your rivals combined with the paused action crash sequences is just breath taking. That introduction of gamer to game is become rarer and rarer as the majority have by now already experience Burnout...

  • Abstract:  Any real Burnout fan touts Burnout 3: Takedown as the series unquestionable high point. Sure, there were things in the last edition of the series, Burnout Revenge that heightened gameplay in a technical, often graphical sense. But Takedown came togethe...
