Must have game
Excellent detail and graphics are impressive
Game play is awesome
As God of War as PSP can get
Minigames and series' lore strengthen the experience
Interpolates various gameplay types very well.
A stunning audio and visual presentation
Impressive boss battles
New weapons and powers
And an engaging story make this one of Kratos' most epic outings
Even on the modestly powered PSP.
Incredible visuals
Both technically and artistically
Violent combat with responsive controls
Puzzles are a great change of pace
Thoughtful story with a couple of touching moments.
An epic masterpiece that fits in the palm of your hand.
The editors didn't like
Not much replay potential
Once all the videos and few challenges are opened up there is not much more to do except try it on different difficulties
Not appropriate for younger players
Lacks the epic "pow!" of the console versions
Some puzzles are a little frustrating.
Largely sticks to the standard GoW formula
Puzzling can get tedious.
Does little to differentiate itself from other God of War games
Abstract: It didn’t take much more than 15 minutes at E3 to easily award God of War: Ghost of Sparta the Best PSP Game of the Show and now after finishing the full game I’m ready to cast my nomination for Best PSP Game of 2010. In many ways the Ghost of Sparta s...
Abstract: There's no competing with the sheer scale in God of War 3. How can you top going toe-to-toe with the gods and battling enormous Titans? So it seems as if Ghost of Sparta was set up to be a letdown. Impressively, developer Ready at Dawn has managed to c...
Abstract: The hardships never seem to end for Kratos, an afflicted Spartan soldier turned god, who must live with the vivid memory of killing his wife and daughter. In all prior God of War titles, revenge has been the driving force, be it against Ares, the gods...
Abstract: Your second dose of God killing on the PSP doesn't disappoint.Kratos is back, and he's angrier than ever. Let's add to the mix that his brother Deimos is actually alive and the Gods have been lying to him this entire time. Now, Kratos will travel to th...
Abstract: Earlier this year we saw a huge come back for the God of War series. With Sony releasing the collection on the PS3, and the long awaited sequel God of War III, fans have had their controller buttons worn down extensively. It's time to give your PS3 con...
Unbelievably, the developers at Ready at Dawn managed to top what they did with Chains of Olympus, delivering a longer, deeper, and more graphically beautiful game than even they thought was originally possible. Ghost of Sparta is, without a doubt, one...
Another interesting, wellacted story that makes good use of Greek mythology as an inspiration. New weapons and artifacts are fun to wield, and the movement controls make that easy to do.
Lack of control over the camera causes problems in some combat situations.
This is a welcome return to the exhilarating and vicious world of Kratos. Finally, you've got a reason to pull out that PSP that's been gathering dust. Players will alternate mashing the light and heavy attack buttons, while being ready to throw up bl...
Abstract: The PSP is still a damn good console and it's a shame that both developers and consumers have not fully embraced this portable console technology. Even so, there are still some impressive games that occasionally pop up on this console and God of War: G...
Stunning audio and visual presentation, impressive boss battles, new weapons and powers, engaging story
Largely sticks to the standard GoW formula, puzzling can get tedious
While no doubt familiar to anyone who's dug their blades into any of the previous God of War games, Ghost of Sparta still manages to inject some fresh ideas into the aging action franchise. It's a no-brainer for faithful fans, as well as PSP owners lookin...
