The editors didn't like

  • Not the most accurate form of BMI measure
  • Costs more than a regular scale (obviously)
  • Sometimes acts flaky if you try to weigh several times in a row
  • Glass is streakprone and hard to clean (even with Windex!) Noticeably larger squarefootage than a lot of analog scales. Plastic feet bottoms look cheap and come with adhesive that's weaker than Harold Wormser (front middle). It's still 0
  • Mirror surface gets dirty quickly
  • Expensive
  • Hard to keep clean
  • Not recommended for people with pacemakers
  • Takes the reading a bit too fast
  • I’m not sure how many people will actually use the “social embarrassment” aspects of the device Every time you submit our site
  • An Angel gets its wings.

  • Abstract:  Would something like the WiFi scale help you achieve your fitness goals?A key component of maintaining a healthy diet is being able to stay on top of, and being able to track such information as total body fat and body mass index. Monitoring your weigh...

  • Abstract:  Now $160 for a scale. Okay, I get it. Kind of like paying $160 for a toaster, right? Well, suppose that toaster could keep track of your whole grains intake and tasty breakfast satisfaction on the web. Suppose that toaster could beam your whole wheat ...

  • Expensive, but worth it. How do we justify a $160 scale when normal scales are $20 at Target? Think about when the last time your parents replaced their bathroom scale. Was it before you were born? Was it never? $160 isn't too much when you spread it...

  • With modern good looks, the Withings Body Scale tracks weight, BMI, and body fat percentage over time. Data is stored in the cloud and the scale supports many third-party fitness solutions
  • Despite an inferior build quality, the Body Scale is more expensive than the Fitbit Aria. Its interface is not as intuitive, and Withings' online tools are basic
  • The $159 ultraflexible Withings Body Scale, once the pinnacle of home weight measurement, is losing its edge in the face of better competition....

  • Easy to use; looks great; works very well
  • Unexplained occasional weight variance, PC Range www.wifiscale.com.au, Rating 4.5
  • Withings has dragged the scale into the 21st century, and has done a very good job indeed. Not only does it work well, it does it with a minimum of effort from the user. The only negative is that it occasionally records a widely varying weight. I ‘lost...

  • Provides weight, BMI , Wi-Fi integration is easy , Website provides lots of information , iPhone compatible , Supports up to eight weight profiles
  • Can't delete Twitter accounts , Automatic user detection is a bit wonky , BMI is still a contested metric , Can't weigh pets or very small humans , Expensive for a set of scales
  • We can't fault the technical genius of the Withings WifiScale, but at the same time you do pay a lot of money for a lot of gimmicks in a bathroom scale....

  • Abstract:  It's not often that the word "stylish" is used to describe a weight scale, but that characteristic is very appropriate in this case. The WiFi scale is a sleek and well-designed gadget, sporting a modern metallic combination of tempered glass atop electrod...

  • Abstract:  You won't particularly notice this in the sense of there being a paucity of neat, glossy gadgets for me to tell you about in the months to come. But barring the Apple iPad , which, from what we know at the time of writing, isn't quite as “magical” as Stev...

  • Abstract:  While these scales do tell your weight they also tell you your fat mass and even your body mass index. Unlike the only other device I have seen that did all this that cost into four figures this one only just creeps into three....
