Sometimes overly bright sound

Nothing — the Plantronics BackBeat PRO 2s work as promised
And they sound phenomenal
Muddy mid-range caused by overwhelming low end
Track control buttons difficult to landmark
Questionable build quality and design decisions
ANC not as capable as other noise cancelling headphones
Noise cancellation isn't quite on par with Bose
There's very little to complain about here
The design does take some time to get used to and we do wish they were foldable but that's about it
Heavy
While the low end seemed to be appropriately tuned for bassheavy songs
Tracks that don't necessarily rely on a big low end had a little more bass than was necessary—to the point of distraction in a couple instances
Unfortunately
A little confusing to use those controls
Design might not be for everyone
Voice call performance doesn't equal a dedicated headset
Doesn't collapse fully
ANC still not the equal of Bose
While the design has been improved
The headphone is still a little heavy and its aesthetics may not appeal to everyone
Noise-canceling isn't quite as effective as Bose's
I tested wearing the BackBeat PRO 2 daily while I walked to work and so far I'm loving it. The audio quality is pretty good, it's comfortable to wear, and the noise cancelling helps in shutting down noises so I can be fully immersed in my music or podc...

Put the Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 on your short list and compare them with headsets twice the price. Audiophiles may prefer to spend more but for you and me they are damned good quality for the price. Remember that these are at the value end – you won...

While the design has been improved, the headphone is still a little heavy and its aesthetics may not appeal to everyone; noise-canceling isn't quite as effective as Bose's
The BackBeat Pro 2 is an excellent full-size wireless noise-cancelling headphone that costs nearly half as much as comparable models from Bose, Sony or Sennheiser...
Abstract: I have been looking for a decent pair of active noise cancelling headphones for a while, the Bose QuietComfort 35 (Series II) is the most obvious choice, but I don't travel enough to justify the £320+ price tag.Looking for cheaper options, I found favou...
Fairly smooth sound, Enjoyably large soundstage, Good battery life, Feature-packed,
Only moderately effective noise cancellation, Soft, slow and overblown low frequencies,
The Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2s are cheaper than their perceived rivals, and have the benefit of extra features that many will appreciate. However, the Backbeats' positive sound characteristics are dragged down by unchecked bass and, ultimately, that spoil...
For $200 (£230, AU$250), it's hard to fault anything about the Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2. It's looks might not be for everyone and its bass heavy sound won't please audiophiles but the BackBeat Pro 2 does just about everything right for travel headphones
Audiophiles won't like the bass heavy sound signature, though bass can be tamed by using them in wired mode, Similarly, you'll either love or hate the styling of the BackBeat Pro 2. Its brown color palette, fake zebrawood and out of place silver mesh give
If you don't want to drop $350 (£290, AU$500) on the Bose QuietComfort 35 or $400 (£330 or AU$700) on Sony's flagship MDR-1000X, the Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 should be on the top of your shopping list. Sure, the Bose still offers better noise cancellati...
Comfortable, lightweight, great battery life and noise cancellation features
Plastic design, fake wood trim is puzzling
As an overall package, the Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 have a lot to offer. Despite their plastic build, these cans feel sturdy and are very comfortable to wear - even for extended periods.Combined with the brilliant range of features, ease of use and over...

very long battery life, comfortable, good noise cancelling, good bass, good controls, good value
sound profile won't suit everyone, don't fold up particularly well for travel, passive noise isolation could be better
The Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 wireless noise-cancelling headphones are a very good pair of headphones, that lasts ages between charges, have good controls, solid active noise cancelling and a sound profile that will please many. They're comfortable to wea...
