The editors didn't like
Sometimes overly bright sound
Minor design quibbles
No NFC Unless you buy the more expensive $250 Special Edition
You don't get NFC to facilitate pairing
Very basic audio cable included — no controls/mic built-in
No app
Not collapsable
Prev2 of 2Next
Nothing — the Plantronics BackBeat PRO 2s work as promised
And they sound phenomenal
Muddy mid-range caused by overwhelming low end
Track control buttons difficult to landmark
Questionable build quality and design decisions
ANC not as capable as other noise cancelling headphones
Noise cancellation isn't quite on par with Bose
There's very little to complain about here
The design does take some time to get used to and we do wish they were foldable but that's about it
Heavy
While the low end seemed to be appropriately tuned for bassheavy songs
Tracks that don't necessarily rely on a big low end had a little more bass than was necessary—to the point of distraction in a couple instances
Unfortunately
A little confusing to use those controls
Design might not be for everyone
Voice call performance doesn't equal a dedicated headset
Doesn't collapse fully
ANC still not the equal of Bose
While the design has been improved
The headphone is still a little heavy and its aesthetics may not appeal to everyone
Noise-canceling isn't quite as effective as Bose's

Smaller and lighter, Good noise cancellation, Slightly improved audio quality, Excellent call quality, Solid battery life
Bass not particularly full, Only special edition gets hard-shell case
It's hard to argue with the price. At $200, these are highly competitive and offer solid value for the money, so if you're looking for good ANC headphones for the long haul on a tighter budget, you will like what you get here...
