Extremely versatile all-in-one solution
Attractive build quality and finishes
Enough amplifier power to be used in many applications
The audio is balanced
Yet offers a decent bass kick when required. Setup couldn't be easier—Bluetooth pairing was successful on the first try and has remained flawless since. The subdued and elegant design looks good on any desktop or in any living room
Fantastic

Can be used with a subwoofer
The Audioengine 5+ powered speakers deliver phenomenal sound and offer simple
Attractive styling. They feature two audio inputs and an integrated USB port for charging source devices (phones
IPods). The two speakers can be placed as far apart as need...
Modern and compact design
Great sound quality. Long range Bluetooth playback. Room filling sound without distortion
The editors didn't like
Headphone output
The remote should have an on/off button
Final Thoughts
Bass is weak at low volumes
Bluetooth auto reconnects
Take up a lot of space on a desk
There's something to be said for speakers that are built for pure performance. The Audioengine A5+ Wireless sound fantastic
But they're not wildly expensive or out
No source knob
Limited remote control
The speakers aren't cheap
And many will find them to be too large and bulky compared with standard PC speakers. The AC power port found in the earlier model is no longer present
And you can't switch between the two inputs--both are always active.

Abstract: Now, that's an innovation one can hang a fine felt Cavanaugh fedora on. True, the pushbutton worked better in a VW bug than in the home, but you get the idea. Time was, ease of use was considered a significant engineering focal point. Today, one senses an...

The A5+ Wireless speakers have always been a bargain when you consider how good they perform. The added convenience of Bluetooth only sweetens the deal—even at a $100 premium. You can find better sounding and better made speakers, but not at this price.Pr...
