The iTrip PSP isnt immune to static, and it needs its own batteries.
If you want to bulk up the sound of your PSP without running cables to your stereo or a set of powered speakers, Griffins iTrip for PSP is a nice--though slightly pricey--solution. Price range: $24.99 - $37.99
