  • Sonys NW-S200 S2 Sports Walkman features a unique design and several fitness-friendly extras; it applies nifty uses of Sonys G-sensor technology; sound quality is excellent; includes an FM tuner.
  • As usual, Sonys subpar (and required) SonicStage software sullies the experience, and theres no fitness software to help you track your progress. The included earbuds are uncomfortable and wont fit all users.
  • The NW-S200 Walkman proves once again that Sony knows what its doing in the hardware department; fitness-minded users should take a close look at this flash MP3 player. But make sure youre comfortable with SonicStage before you commit.

  • Sports features such as pedometer and calorie counter, automatic playlist switching based on pace, excellent sound quality, bundled accessories, active shuffle feature, rapid recharge
  • SonicStage software is difficult to use, screen hard to read in direct sunlight, moving between features is fiddly due to the one-line display The Final Word For active users, this is the best all-in-one music player package

  • Easy to carry, good sports features.
  • Slow file transfers, quirky interface, look like a high-tech junkie while using it.
  • Sports junkies who are sick of iPods bouncing out of their shorts pockets while on a run or at the gym would do well to consider the NWS205F, but for all the couch potatoes and stay-at-home music lovers, its not as good a choice.
