  • Great image calibration right out of the box
  • Out of the box performance
  • Extremely bright
  • Especially good for watching HDTV sports with signficant ambient light
  • Great styling (Most projector’s image quality will impress your friends
  • This one will impress even turned off!)
  • 3 savable user settings
  • Relatively inexpensive
  • Excellent connectivity with both DVI and HDMI inputs
  • Solid color decoding
  • Clean video processing with 2
  • 3 pull-down.

The editors didn't like

  • Lack of optical lens shift is disappointing
  • Cant be mounted upright on a high shelf
  • Noticeably more expensive than the competition
  • Including other Darkchip2 powered DLP projectors
  • And 720p LCD projectors
  • Warranty – only one year standard
  • No replacement program
  • Projector must be unmounted to replace lamp
  • No lens shift (typical of DL
  • Slightly soft lens
  • Less than perfect grayscale tracking
  • No lens shift.

  • Abstract:  Infocus has also stayed away from features like lens shift and a large zoom lens so the unit will be harder to place in a room where there are restrictions in the mounting position but for most home theatres this will still be fine as most users still ...

  • Abstract:  As you can see from the pic, the IN76 replaces the old clunky design and bland colours with a high-gloss, black finish and enough smooth, flowing curves to make a sports car jealous.

  • Overall I was very impressed with the IN76. The image quality is right up there with any of the best 720p projectors in the sub $3,000 market segment and it can be found online for under $2,000 so I think it would be hard for anyone to be disappointed ...
