  • Historical catchup EPG, Appless interface, Easy to understand, On Demand is well organised
  • Limited catchup content, NOW TV dominates Film section, Some error messages, No Lovefilm, Netflix or Acetrax

  • TV recording, works a week ahead or back, great single-box solution, upgraders get seemingly good value, pay-for access to additional channels possible
  • Slow box start-up, similar price plans to competitors' services, cheaper ways to get the same content, locked into a TalkTalk contract for 18 months, installation fee, TalkTalk button on remote is overkill, additional channels can come at quite the cost
  • YouView won't be for everyone, but if recording bags of TV content sounds like something that's been missing from your life then it could well be the solution for you. Of the of the purchase options available we reckon that, on balance, TalkTalk offers...
