I would have to recommend the Samsung Gear Fit2 over any oth
Only works with Samsung or Android 4.4+ smartphones
Picky about how you begin some exercises
Not starting to track you until you're in the exact position
No guided workouts like on the Microsoft Band
Not a very durable battery
They do not always accurately recognize Activity
Short battery life. The accuracy of the heart-rate sensor fluctuates during workouts. You can't wear in the shower or while swimming. No iPhone support. Samsung's S Health app can be confusing
Too bulky for small wrists
Alerts tough to feel
Only compatible with Android smartphones (as of this writing)
No iOS support
Few additional apps or watch faces available at launch
Narrow screen results in cramped
Awkward layouts
Heart rate monitoring isn't continuous
App selection is small right now. As with all optical heart rate monitors
It gets confused by certain activities
Auto-activity type tracking not always reliable
Relatively small app store
Limited ability to reply to text messages
Lack of compatibility with non-Galaxy devices. GPS issues in some rural areas
Battery life largely varies depending on usage
Lack of apps in Tizen ecosystem
Heart rate tracking inaccurate during more intense workouts
Heart rate monitoring off for all but cardio activities
Replying to notifications is severely limited
No alarm
Band still isn't very attractive
Display not visible in sunlight
Android only
Side buttons are a bit of a letdown
Limited design customization options
There are brandname trackers that do the same and cost less

Samsung's Gear Fit 2 is one of the more stylish fitness trackers out there, while the vibrant 1.5-inch screen is a great way to track your efforts and interact with the many useful features. You get full GPS support, heart rate tracking and built-in music...
Samsung made a great entry-level fitness band or activity tracker or whatever you want to classify this as. Even w/ it running Tizen, I really had no issues w/ the Fit 2. Now I won't even argue saying that there aren't better trackers for a more accurat...
Too bulky for small wrists, Alerts tough to feel, Only compatible with Android smartphones (as of this writing)
There's no perfect fitness tracker. The good ones achieve a balance, working around the inherent flaws that plague the product class: namely battery compromises, awkward UIs, and managing Bluetooth connections. The Samsung Gear Fit 2 achieves this bala...

Overall the Samsung Gear Fit2 is an exceptional sports and fitness tracker — assuming you have a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. It integrates well with Samsung's S Health app, has a decent battery life, and is definitely priced right considering the number of...
Abstract: When I read the tech specs of the Samsung Gear Fit2, I was intrigued. This is a souped-up fitness band with extras like 4GB storage for music playback, heart-rate monitor, Wi-Fi, even GPS. And the killer feature that beats other fitness bands has got to b...

Expandable features distinguishes Gear Fit2 from competitors. Through the use of Tizen OS as the basis, the Samsung was able to achieve a level of flexibility that is not available in many other fitness trackers. However, there is no guarantee that the Sa...
Samsung's originally Gear Fit felt like a half-baked, half-finished device, but the Gear Fit 2 corrects nearly all of the faults of its predecessor. Stronger battery life would be nice, but that's a necessary trade-off to get a device that handles fitness...

From a fitness perspective, the Gear Fit2 has a lot to offer. The fact that the device can act as a standalone music player is an attractive feature since it lets you leave your smartphone at home. The Gear Fit2 also has the top fitness-minded features li...
