I would have to recommend the Samsung Gear Fit2 over any oth
Only works with Samsung or Android 4.4+ smartphones
Picky about how you begin some exercises
Not starting to track you until you're in the exact position
No guided workouts like on the Microsoft Band
Not a very durable battery
They do not always accurately recognize Activity
Short battery life. The accuracy of the heart-rate sensor fluctuates during workouts. You can't wear in the shower or while swimming. No iPhone support. Samsung's S Health app can be confusing
Too bulky for small wrists
Alerts tough to feel
Only compatible with Android smartphones (as of this writing)
No iOS support
Few additional apps or watch faces available at launch
Narrow screen results in cramped
Awkward layouts
Heart rate monitoring isn't continuous
App selection is small right now. As with all optical heart rate monitors
It gets confused by certain activities
Auto-activity type tracking not always reliable
Relatively small app store
Limited ability to reply to text messages
Lack of compatibility with non-Galaxy devices. GPS issues in some rural areas
Battery life largely varies depending on usage
Lack of apps in Tizen ecosystem
Heart rate tracking inaccurate during more intense workouts
Heart rate monitoring off for all but cardio activities
Replying to notifications is severely limited
No alarm
Band still isn't very attractive
Display not visible in sunlight
Android only
Side buttons are a bit of a letdown
Limited design customization options
There are brandname trackers that do the same and cost less
Band still isn't very attractive, Display not visible in sunlight, Android only

The Samsung Gear Fit 2 is a proper evolution of Samsung's fitness tracker - and, in conjunction, their S Health tracking system. However, it doesn't do enough to replace more focused trackers that fitness enthusiasts may already wear...

Abstract: The Gear Fit 2 is Samsung's second fitness-focused watch, and one it hopes will emerge from the shadows and give the likes of Fitbit and Garmin a run for their money. The updated model adds GPS tracking and built-in music storage to its already impressive...

I didn't think I would ever end up saying this about a Samsung Gear Fit device, but the Gear Fit 2 seems like a no-brainer recommendation for anyone looking for their first fitness tracker or as an upgrade over an older Fitbit or Jawbone or Misfit. It p...

At a retail launch price of $179, the Gear Fit 2 considerably undercuts the top-end Fitbit Surge, and competes strongly with sub-$200 fitness trackers that don't offer a full screen or possibilities with non-fitness functions. At the same time, the Fit 2...
