The editors liked

  • Hot fresh coffee EVERY cup.  NO stale coffee ever
  • Removable drip tray makes cleanup easy. Dead simple to operate. More than 200 KCup varieties of coffee — some don't even taste horrible.
  • Fast cup-at-a-time brewing
  • Wide variety of coffee and tea choices
  • Also dispenses hot water for instant beverages

The editors didn't like

  • I would like to see more stores carry the K-Cups and I would also like a machine that brews two at a time for when I am filling a big coffee mug or thermos
  • Way too much machine for a singlepurpose task. Keurig will charge you $15 for the privilege of separate filter. Factor in the "priming" time (about 3 and a half minutes) it takes the machine to warm up water
  • And the Elite isn't as speedy as it seems.
  • Once the initial priming is done there is no way to empty the inner water tank
  • Works only with preportioned K-cups

  • The Elite B40 is one of several gourmet single-cup home brewing systems produced by Keurig. Like the other Keurig brewers, the Elite B40 uses prepacked "K-cups," which contain a premeasured amount of coffee grounds (or tea leaves) for a perfect cup of...

  • Abstract:  Thanks to the folks at Green Mountain, we received the new Keurig Elite B40 and Special Edition B60 to review. Weve been furiously running mountains of K-Cups through the B40 and B60 to judge which new Keurig we like the best. Weve also been running ...
