The editors liked

  • The BlueAnt Q2 is slim and slender
  • With an impressive voice control interface that includes text-to-speech and access to Bing-411 services. It also has A2DP streaming
  • Multipoint connectivity
  • And amazing sound quality
  • Full and rich sounding incoming audio
  • Voice-activated commands
  • Text-to-speech
  • And more
  • Hardware power on/off switch.
  • Clear sound quality. Effective voice control. Comfortable design. Solid Android and BlackBerry integration.
  • Text to speech app reads text messages when headset it connected
  • No 25 word limit like Motorola’s H17txt
  • A2DP support
  • Range
  • Feels secure with or without an earhook
  • Voice commands work great
  • Stylish & lightweight
  • Fantastic calling quality
  • Tons of voice control features
  • The Q2 is designed to function almost completely handsfree. Once paired (easy to do)
  • The extremely verbose voice guide explains the functions and takes the user through a few preliminary steps
  • Painlessly transferring names and numbers of all contacts

The editors didn't like

  • The BlueAnt Q2 has very tiny physical controls
  • And there are quite a number of commands to remember
  • Fit is a very personal thing. You may love it
  • Or not
  • Power switch difficult to access when headset is worn
  • A little pricey (at the time of this writing)
  • Expensive. Noise cancellation still not up to Plantronics or Aliph standards. Android app is still flaky. No iPhone app yet.
  • Built in voice commands are somewhat useless
  • Power switch in a bad location
  • MSRP on the high end of the spectrum
  • Find More Reviews @ TestFreaks
  • Lacks PC-integration features
  • Voice sounds muffled to other parties
  • Ear buds don't offer a snug fit
  • Windcancelling prowess seemed about on a par with that of other headsets we've tried
  • Despite our hopes (based on BlueAnt's promotion of this feature).

  • Despite occasional spotty performance and only average-ish results for callers on the other end, the Q2 is a beautifully crafted, well-designed, professional piece of kit with superb features and a best-in-class speaker.Rating:This is Primo Headset Week, ...

  • Abstract:  Although the new BlueAnt Q2 is a conservative looking bluetooth wireless earpiece (you can have it any color you want as long as it’s black or “platinum” silver), its headlining feature is anything but. One of the achilles heels of using an earpiece ...
