The editors didn't like
The volume controls are a bit hard to press
A tad pricey
For such a great headset
It could come in more than just 2 colors (cough cough...champagne..cough cough)
The BlueAnt Z9i still suffers from rather stiff volume controls
And it doesnt feel as secure without the ear hook.
Too many functions to remember
Proprietary USB connector
No car charger included
No instant connect
Morsecode user interface to access some features
Some unnecessary blinking
Oh how I wish there were a stereo version
Battery life is on the short side. Noise cancellation falls behind the class leaders.
It would be nice if there were more colour choices say purple?

Sounds grainy in silent settings, Complicated firmware upgrade process, Firmware upgrade instructions only for Windows XP

Mediocre noise-canceling performance
There’s no doubt that the BlueAnt Z9i delivers clearer sound in noisy environments than a run-of-the-mill headset. But compared with premium noise-canceling headsets, including the Aliph Jawbone (street-priced at about $100), its voice quality and d...

Abstract: In the case of Bluetooth headsets, too small is never a bad thing. The BlueAnt Z9i Blueooth headset is the perfect mix of size, weight and comfort. But those attributes are nothing without sound quality, volume and connectivity. So how does the Z9i per...

The Z9i is the “sequel” to the impressive Z9 Bluetooth headset from BlueAnt. It’s impressive. Somehow, the company found a way to add more features to an already feature-rich headset. Big deal. Who needs multitudinous features? Somehow...
