This new Touch is quite a looker.
The HTC Touch Dual features a slide-out 20-key QWERTY keyboard. Its also the first smartphone to ship with Windows Mobile 6.1 in the States and supports HSDPA and Bluetooth 2.0.
Lightweight
Multimedia friendly
Easy keyboard
Beautiful and elegant design
Effective TouchFlo function
3G (UMTS/HSDPA) support

The editors didn't like
Slightly smaller screen
Keypad buttons hard to use for speedtexting
No Wi-Fi or GPS. Weak software bundle. Cumbersome Windows Mobile 6 interface lurks just underneath the TouchFLO surface.
Noticeable lag when opening and closing apps
Not a full QWERTY keyboard
Camera occasionally freezes
No 3.5mm headset jack
3G it may be
But the lack of Wi-Fi stands out like a sore thumb.
The Touch Dual lacks Wi-Fi and GPS. Theres no standard audio jack
And its pricey.
Tricky touchscreen
Average music capabilities
Too many options
Camera is missing a flash
Mediocre playback quality
Lack of WiFi
Not a global phone
Still not as agile as other touchscreen devices. No U.S. 3G support. SureType version more interesting than 12-key numeric.
Keys a bit rickety. Lacks IM clients. Still not as slick or responsive as the iPhone.

Tricky touchscreen, Average music capabilities, Too many options, Camera is missing a flash
The HTC Dual Touch is a good looking, adaptable phone that is unlike anything on the market. Practical users will be annoyed with the overbearing options and abundant functions, but hardcore phone lovers will be happy to discover all its little tricks.
Abstract: After several days of twiddling with the device, you simply can’t make up your mind and have your final judgment shaped up, but even now some things are pretty clear. The idea of a range comprising touch-phones is very contemporary. At the moment wh...

Editors note: Check out our review of the North American version here. The most significant improvement in the HTC Touch Dual is surprisingly not the hardware keyboard. Perhaps we would have found it more useful if we had tested the SureType version...
