  • With a cool design and the TouchFLO system
  • This new Touch is quite a looker.

  • Lightweight
  • Multimedia friendly
  • Easy keyboard
  • Beautiful and elegant design
  • Effective TouchFlo function
  • 3G (UMTS/HSDPA) support

The editors didn't like

  • Slightly smaller screen
  • Keypad buttons hard to use for speedtexting
  • No Wi-Fi or GPS. Weak software bundle. Cumbersome Windows Mobile 6 interface lurks just underneath the TouchFLO surface.
  • Noticeable lag when opening and closing apps
  • Not a full QWERTY keyboard
  • Camera occasionally freezes
  • No 3.5mm headset jack
  • 3G it may be
  • But the lack of Wi-Fi stands out like a sore thumb.
  • The Touch Dual lacks Wi-Fi and GPS. Theres no standard audio jack
  • And its pricey.
  • Tricky touchscreen
  • Average music capabilities
  • Too many options
  • Camera is missing a flash
  • Mediocre playback quality
  • Lack of WiFi
  • Not a global phone
  • Still not as agile as other touchscreen devices. No U.S. 3G support. SureType version more interesting than 12-key numeric.
  • Keys a bit rickety. Lacks IM clients. Still not as slick or responsive as the iPhone.
  • No WiFi
  • Relatively small screen

  • Improved TouchFLO interface, HSDPA capable, stylish design, upgraded processor and memory
  • No Wi-Fi, proprietary headphone and charging jack The Final Word Although it lacks Wi-Fi, the HTC Touch Dual is a big improvement over the original model, largely thanks to an improved TouchFLO interface, HSDPA capabilities and a faster processor.
