The editors liked

  • Functional slideout keypad
  • Improved touch interface
  • Unlocked. 3G-capable. Good video playback performance. TouchFLO interface looks good and speeds up common tasks.
  • Smooth TouchFLO UI
  • Fast video streaming from YouTube
  • Beautiful handset design
  • Excellent call quality
  • With a cool design and the TouchFLO system
  • This new Touch is quite a looker.
  • The HTC Touch Dual features a slide-out 20-key QWERTY keyboard. Its also the first smartphone to ship with Windows Mobile 6.1 in the States and supports HSDPA and Bluetooth 2.0.
  • Beautiful and elegant design
  • Effective TouchFlo function
  • 3G (UMTS/HSDPA) support
  • Best HTC Touch weve seen
  • With SureType keyboard. Easy tethered modem support. Calls sound good
  • Nice address book features.
  • Great feel
  • Easy touch accessibility

The editors didn't like

  • Slightly smaller screen
  • Keypad buttons hard to use for speedtexting
  • No Wi-Fi or GPS. Weak software bundle. Cumbersome Windows Mobile 6 interface lurks just underneath the TouchFLO surface.
  • Noticeable lag when opening and closing apps
  • Not a full QWERTY keyboard
  • Camera occasionally freezes
  • No 3.5mm headset jack
  • 3G it may be
  • But the lack of Wi-Fi stands out like a sore thumb.
  • The Touch Dual lacks Wi-Fi and GPS. Theres no standard audio jack
  • And its pricey.
  • Mediocre playback quality
  • Lack of WiFi
  • Not a global phone
  • Keys a bit rickety. Lacks IM clients. Still not as slick or responsive as the iPhone.
  • No WiFi
  • Relatively small screen

  • Sleek design, slide-out keypad, TouchFLO interface, 3.5G (HSDPA) ready
  • No Wi-Fi, expensive, somewhat sluggish interface
  • Connectivity: Network reception was fairly good, and so was the call quality and the volume of the loudspeaker; no complaints here. Multimedia and Camera: Multimedia is always given the backseat on business phones, and its no different with the Touch...
