Well designed and very comfortable, Very solid/durable construction, Evenly balanced mid and high end response, Retractable microphone, Can be taken apart for transport.
A little lacking on the lower frequencies (preference), Needs a tad more volume.
The SteelSound 5Hv2 headphones perform very well for the gaming side and more than adequately enough for everything else. The 5Hv2 headphones are stereo and do a really good job. I am eager to see if SteelSound makes the leap in to the 5.1 headp...

Little pricy, With all this in mind, I am awarding the Steel Series 5H headphones an 8 out of 10. I know that these headphones will be on my personal gaming PC for a long time to come.
The Steel Series 5H headphones have been a pleasure to work with. The sound quality is great and the comfort level is top notch. The ability to take the headphones apart is a nice option when transporting them to and from anywhere you might want to ta...
Abstract: With the advancement of gaming peripherals in the PC gaming industry, there are now several products designed specifically for this kind of recreation that exists as more or less a "standard" accessory. If its not a high-end cloth or plastic mousepad,...
Pulls apart for easy transportation. Hide-away microphone. Extremely long, detachable cable. Enhances voices and things like gunshots, positioned for competitive gamers
Pricey for the audio quality. Not really for music

It really is a tough choice between these two units here, because each has features that I would like to see in the other one.If SteelSeries put in some more responsive driver units to deal with the volume issues, then they would be my firm recommen...

Abstract: While just about any high-end set of headphones will do a great job when it comes to gaming, gamers have some specific needs. For starters, a decent microphone is essential for voice communications. The Steelsound 5H V2 headset features a high quality mic...
The SteelSeries 5H V2 isn't exactly innovative, but fortunately the product from which it derives was good enough to start with. As such this latest edition is still a capable, decent value gaming headset....
Incredibly immersive, Good, solid build quality, Nice looking, Included 3.5mm extension cable is rather useful, Retractable microphone helps to reduce clutter
not 5.1?, errrm...the wife might not understand?
Needless to say - I really like the SteelSeries 5H V2, and am becoming very fond of the company itself. It is very clear that they put a lot of effort into researching and designing their gaming gear. I found this headset to give quite a good direction...
