The editors didn't like

  • Lack of Bass (this can be fixed using your audio panel if you have a decent soundcard)
  • If you wear glasses it may cause awkward pressure behind your ears
  • Not true 5.1 surround sound (thats just me being picky)
  • Not Surround
  • Price For Some
  • Microphone level switch causes momentary loud interference.
  • Microphone retracting can be bothersome
  • Less than stellar USB soundcard performance
  • A little pricey
  • No carrying case
  • None really
  • Virtual 7.1 offered some benefit
  • Could not pinpoint other players like four point speakers can
  • Little pricy
  • With all this in mind
  • I am awarding the Steel Series 5H headphones an 8 out of 10. I know that these headphones will be on my personal gaming PC for a long time to come.
  • Price is kind of high for the casual user (approx $99 at the time of this writing)....
  • General audio performance
  • A little lacking on the lower frequencies (preference)
  • Needs a tad more volume.
  • None
