Size-wise. It's big enough that watching movies and playing games looks good
But it's small and light enough that it's super portable. I can fit it in my jacket pocket and w

Sluggish performance
Kinda expensive
No expandable storage
$50 less than the 10.1
LTE version is bundled with contract
The one thing that seems to have suffered for this size reduction is the audio. The speakers weren't great on the 10.1
But they sound even tinnier on the 8.9
Which is too bad. It employs the same rear camera as the 10.1 which isn't great. That said

The Tab 8.9 is nearly identical to the larger version
Coming in at the same width (0.34 inches) but with a smaller 9.1 x 6.2-inch footprint. It still only has one connection port

But still too pricey
Still expensive
The lack of ports on the tablet will be a problem for some and the plastic back leaves the Tab 8.9 feeling less solid than the iPad 2
Little and lithe, good screen, very usable with TouchWiz, excellent for games and video
No HDMI, no 3G, ho-hum cameras, a few bugs
A lovely tablette that’s wandered out of its depth and ended up playing with the big boys. Fast, usable and stylish but just too expensive for what you get....
Abstract: Of course, the tin and light device is worthless without the software on it. As mentioned before, this is a Honeycomb tablet, but Samsung decided to overlay Honeycomb with TouchWiz. The end result actually works fairly well. The Samsung apps on the tablet...
Abstract: Where Apple spent years carefully giving birth to a single iPad , Samsung 's Galaxy Tab family is expanding with all the thought and consideration of a hutch full of bunnies. The latest tablet to pop into life is the mid-sized Galaxy Tab 8.9, a slim wides...

Lack of ports; plastic back makes it less solid than the iPad 2.
