The editors didn't like
The LCD panel is inferior to displays in competing devices
Especially OLED ones. Uneven backlighting causes bleed around the edges that becomes increasingly noticeable
Won't be an issue for long-time Huawei/Honor owners
But Magic UI (essentially EMUI)
No waterproofing
Storage can't be expanded further
The secondary camera on the back isn't as versatile as phones with a telephoto or wide-angle shooters

Competitors for Honor View 20
Honor View 20 vs OnePlus 6T
Honor View 20 vs Vi
Poor software experience
No third-part launcher support
Not available in North America
Magic UI still isn't great
No wireless charging
No in-screen fingerprint reader
AR still a little gimmicky
No OIS on front-facing camera
Magic UI is just okay
48MP camera samples don't deliver greater superiority over 12MP samples
Coldlooking display
Heavy noise with shooting video under low light
Not officially available in the US
Huawei's software is still a burden
Lacks wireless charging
Camera is mediocre for most common uses
LCD lacks the beauty and contrast of an OLED panel

As I mentioned at the beginning of the review, it's evident that with the View 20, Honor is aiming to blaze a trail for smartphone trends that are expected to go big in 2019, instead of just being a follower. And if my experience with the device is anythi...

In many ways, the View20 represents an interesting alternative to Huawei's most recent available offerings. The phone gets a lot of firsts in terms of features, but also clearly showcases that it isn't quite the best that the company has to offer with som...

Maybe. At launch, the Honor View10 cost £449 and that represented decent value for what was a very capable budget-flagship phone. The View20 is a worthy successor, offering camera quality similar to the Mate 20 Pro while doing away with some of the more e...

AR still a little gimmicky, No OIS on front-facing camera, Magic UI is just okay
The Honor View 20 takes the camera phone into a megapixel territory that's never been seen before. This means the View 20 is a more than a solid camera performer. While it suffers a little from a lack of other lenses, the View 20 is packed with imaging sm...
